Experience of set design and construction, a keen personal interest in the environment, a love of gardening bound together with a great imagination, a sense of fun and adventure has enabled Barbara to transform dysfunctional spaces, tired courtyards and vacant areas of playing fields into inspirational areas for learning, relaxation and play. Teachers and pupils take on the role of client, designer, and maker throughout the transformation process giving them a great feeling of pride and ownership.

The success of all these projects has been enhanced by the enthusiastic involvement of members of the wider school community with parents, governors and friends providing support in the classrooms or out in the field.
